Abstract

This study seeks to analyze Primary Health Care, Basic Social Protection and Intersectoral services in Brazilian regions, aiming at comprehensive care for elderly. The documentary study was carried out with a quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, descriptive approach, analysis of absolute, relative frequencies and numerical highlights. The results indicated that the South and Southeast have older rates, while the North has younger rates, possibly due to socioeconomic factors. The Northeast and Central-West stood out for Basic Health Units (3439; 382), possibly due to high volume of service, and pharmacies (2241; 826), which despite their quantity, seem to face territorial accessibility challenges. The Southeast and North regions stood out in Social Assistance Reference Centers (3003; 647) and Community Centers (3926; 301), suggesting greater social vulnerability and mobilization for preventive actions. The South and Southeast showed disparities with the Northeast, with emphasis on Municipal Councils for the Elderly and Public Ministry, indicating social participation and rights defense actions. It is concluded that the quantity of services may be linked to the number of cities, it was not possible to identify a link with the quality of service. Social participation and investigations into services for the elderly are necessary, aiming for healthy aging.
