Abstract

The journalist and psychologist Katia Rubio is Associate Professor at the School of Physical Education and Sports of the University of São Paulo. Considered one of the main references of Olympic studies in Brazil, she is also a member of the Brazilian Olympic Academy and Coordinator of the Olympic Studies Group of the EEFE-USP. In this interview, Rubio brings up considerations about the role of the sports journalism in a scenario of change in the Olympic Movement and its effects on the coverage of major national and international sporting events, including the impact of Coronavirus (COVID 19) in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
