Abstract

This paper aims to identify the risk factors and how institutional, production, market, financial and exchange risks of small and medium agribusiness enterprises export oriented are managed, that is located in São Francisco Valley. It is an exploratory and descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 27 companies. The method used was a survey using a structured questionnaire. The results indicate that main management strategies identified were consolidation of fruit quality, management of production and logistics costs, use of market information in planning and investments in production technologies. The exchange rate risk is managed almost exclusively with the realization of foreign currency loans.
