This article explores the actions of the Intermunicipal Consortium of the Western Metropolitan Region of São Paulo (CIOESTE) in 2021, focusing on its adherence to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The main objective of the research is to examine the SDGs achieved in the actions implemented by CIOESTE based on the Activity Report. The methodology used combines bibliographic and documentary research with a qualitative approach and the use of content analysis techniques. The results demonstrated significant commitment to SDGs related to the health, well-being and sustainable development of cities and communities, while revealing gaps in areas such as climate action and water resources management. It was concluded that although CIOESTE is aligned with many of the SDGs, there is a need for more balanced approaches to cover all objectives comprehensively. The study highlights the usefulness of SDG indicators as tools to guide and evaluate public policies, offering a model for other regions. Furthermore, future research is suggested on the barriers to achieving certain SDGs and the longitudinal impact of adopted policies.
